Cruisin' For a Cause - Get onboard with QT!

Join Quality Trust aboard the Odyssey Cruise ship on Sunday evening, October 2. The event will start with a pre-boarding reception at 5:00 pm, and the Ship will depart the docks at 6:00 pm for a leisurely sail down the Potomac River. We’ll have a three-course dinner, beverages, music, silent auction, and gather with friends and colleagues you haven’t seen in two years or more. We’ll return to the dock at 8:50 pm. We’ll provide shuttle service to the Odyssey cruise venue from designated areas along Maine Avenue, SW.

Quality Trust is delighted to return to our signature “Cruisin’ for a Cause Gala” event aboard the Odyssey with people with disabilities, our staff, Board, and supporters. Many of our supporters had asked when we would return to the Cruise ship. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we had to reschedule the initially scheduled event for September 2020. However, we remained strong in our outlook and belief that we would weather this storm; we continued to support and advocate for people with disabilities and their families, learning that technology is our friend, keeping us close despite distance restrictions.

We have so much to celebrate and be grateful for this year. We’ll applaud the resilience of people with disabilities and their families and Quality Trust’s 20^th anniversary of advocating and making a difference for people with disabilities. We’ll bid “farewell” to Tina and welcome Shawn Ullman, our new CEO, who will continue and expand QT’s vision of a community where everyone is respected, belongs, contributes, is valued, and shapes their present and future. Funds raised from this year’s Gala will support transition supports for youth and our Family Ties of DC project, which was critical during the pandemic in providing family assistance.
